YOUR GIFT IS AN INVESTMENT
The Poughkeepsie Public Schools Foundation is a non-governmental, nonprofit charitable organization that raises funds to close opportunity gaps and enrich the education of students who attend City of Poughkeepsie public schools.
Our mission is simple yet powerful: to turn “that could be me” into “that IS me” through funding a range of PreK-12 experiential activities and ancillaries in early childhood education, literacy, STEAM, career pathways, post-secondary readiness, and cultural awareness.
These aren’t just field trips or musical instruments or science equipment—they are windows into possibility. They are moments when a young person realizes that the stage, laboratory, farm, manufacturing plant, or the college lecture hall isn’t just something they observe, but something they can inhabit.
Your gift is a key that opens doors to possibility:
- $100 sends 30 children to the Bardavon for a live performance.
- $200 covers the annual rental fee for a violin.
- $300 provides weekly mindful yoga classes for First Graders.
- $500 covers materials needed for the Design-A-Bridge engineering project.
- $1500 enables a class of 35 to visit the Dorsky Museum, engage in art activities, experience a college campus, and enjoy a pizza lunch with President Wheeler!
- $2500 sends 120 elementary students to the Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk.
Join us and invest in their future—because their future is ours.
